On November 14, Davis Malm shareholder George A. “Tony” Hewett hosted a special fall program, “The Changing Landscape of Charitable Giving,” at the offices of Davis Malm in Boston. Co-sponsored with Bush & Company principal James L. Bush, the program featured presentations by philanthropic innovators Astrid Hendren, Executive Director of the Cause Fund, Inc., and Joe Phoenix, Co-Founder and CEO of Givinga. The speakers discussed the transformation of the charitable giving landscape in a digital age, and shared strategies for philanthropists to become more aware, informed and empowered. Mr. Hewett stated, “Many individuals and institutions are actively engaged in charitable giving and philanthropic efforts, and many more individuals and institutions are in need. Anything that makes this process more effective and efficient is welcome!” Following the presentation, the evening continued with a special musical performance by students at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
