On May 3, Davis Malm shareholders Tamsin R. Kaplan and Lawrence J. Casey were featured speakers at the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) Eastern Region Conference.

Ms. Kaplan moderated the panel, “Diversity, Unconscious Bias and Employer Liability,” and Mr. Casey served as a panelist along with Gail Dines, Chair and Professor of American Studies, Wheelock College, and Keith Maddox, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Psychology, Tufts University. This session explored how unconscious and unexamined biases can impact a university or college campus, and examined how those biases may impede an institution’s ability to achieve diversity and equality on campus and increase institutional and individual legal risk.
