On January 28, Davis Malm's attorneys joined over 600 Massachusetts attorneys for the 17th Annual Walk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid. The Davis Malm contingent was led by James E. Gallagher and Daniel T. Janis and included Lucas Burke, Sam A. Davis, Marjorie Suisman, Samuel B. Moskowitz and Craig D. Levey.

Each year, the Walk to the Hill draws attorneys from more than 40 Boston-area law firms in its mission to urge lawmakers to protect state funding for programs that provide civil legal aid to low-income Massachusetts residents. This year, the Equal Justice Coalition requested $27M in the Fiscal Year 2017 budget. The event was sponsored by the Equal Justice Coalition, Massachusetts Bar Association and Boston Bar Association.
