On January 22, Davis Malm shareholder Thomas S. Fitzpatrick co-chaired the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education's (MCLE) 15th Annual Business Litigation Conference. Mr. Fitzpatrick's presentation, "Year-in-Review: Top 10 Cases," analyzed how the top cases of 2015 impact litigation practices. He also moderated a panel of judges from the Business Litigation Session, who discussed recent trends and addressed questions regarding the judicial panel sessions.

Mr. Fitzpatrick practices in the Business Law and Litigation areas, and served as Davis Malm’s President from 2009 to 2014. A trial lawyer focusing primarily on business, corporate, and commercial litigation, he has considerable experience in all manner of business disputes, including litigation and arbitration in corporate, real estate, construction, and shareholder cases.

The 15th Annual Business Litigation Conference provided the latest updates on new business litigation developments and important case law that are essential to the practice of law. The conference also provided important insights on the evolving landscape of damages in Massachusetts, as well as key tips for navigating and litigating thorny issues in representations, warranties, indemnities, and post-closing adjustments when deals are in disarray and promises have not been kept.
