On June 6, Davis Malm shareholder William F. Griffin, Jr. was honored by The John William Ward Public Service Fellowship of The Boston Latin School for his continued generous support of its programs. Mr. Griffin was recognized during the Fellowship's 30th anniversary celebration.
Mr. Griffin is a long-time supporter of the Ward Fellowship program and is a member of the Ward Fellowship Board. He established the Paul Griffin Ward Fellowship Fund in honor of his late brother who was a great believer in public service. The Fund was created through the conversion of a previous scholarship fund as well as generous new endowments provided through the Boston Latin School Prima Perpetua Campaign.
The John William Ward Public Service Fellowship is a program that allows those students who have completed their junior or senior year at Boston Latin School to work for a summer in the office of an elected or appointed public servant in state government, municipal government, the judicial system, or even in the major press. Students are selected based on community involvement, academic ability, application essays, and an interview process.
