On December 4, Davis Malm and shareholder Tamsin R. Kaplan hosted a reception for Womenade Boston, a Boston-based women’s giving circle committed to raising awareness and funds to transform the lives of women and girls in the Boston area. Ms. Kaplan welcomed guests and introduced Christine Swistro, President of Womenade Boston, who spoke about Womenade’s efforts and introduced Maria Vertkin, a recent Womenade grant recipient. Ms. Vertikin’s organization, Found in Translation, strives to help homeless and low-income multilingual women achieve economic security through the use of their language skills. Throughout her presentation, Ms. Vertkin highlighted the various achievements made possible by Womenade’s grant, such as the increased number of language services now offered by her organization. Additionally, Ms. Vertkin stressed the impact these grants can have on organizations like hers, and the positive difference they can make in the Boston community.
