On Wednesday, January 23, Davis Malm attorney George A. Hewett conducted a seminar for the South Shore Chamber of Commerce titled "Advantage SBA 504 Loans." SBA 504 loans are long-term loans for owner-occupied real estate projects and the acquisition of machinery and equipment. "Advantage" SBA 504 loans are the lowest cost 504 loans guaranteed with no upfront fees for CDC and provide 100% financing, interim bridge financing, working capital, mezzanine and equity if needed. Mr. Hewett was joined by Carol Brennan and Nancy Gibeau, representatives from The Business Development Company/New England Certified Development Corporation. As a United States Small Business Administration approved specialist in closing and servicing SBA loan transactions, Mr. Hewett was uniquely qualified to discuss the benefits of SBA loans.
