On Tuesday, January 27, Davis Malm attorney George A. Hewett participated in a Newton Needham Chamber of Commerce Seminar, "Business Survival Strategies in a Down Economy." The seminar offered advice, provided resources, and suggested tools for how local businesses can cope with the challenges they are facing in today’s difficult economic environment. Topics included accessing credit, reducing costs, revising marketing, planning, and workouts. In addition to Mr. Hewett, the seminar featured a panel of local experts: Bob Nelson, District Director of the Small Business Administration (SBA); Jack Derby, Derby Management; Tim Mahoney, CPA, MBA, Manager and Director of Business Development, Abrams, Little-Gill, Loberfeld, CPA's; and Morris Robinson, LLM, CPA, Law Offices of M. Robinson & Company.
