On March 14, Davis Malm hosted a Junior Achievement of Northern New England Skills to Achieve program. The one-day program, tailored for high school students from local Boston schools, promoted lessons on financial literacy, workforce readiness, and skills needed to succeed in specific industries. Seventeen students from South Boston’s Excel High School took part in four interactive lessons taught by Davis Malm teams. The 45-minute lessons covered tips for interviewing, techniques for problem solving and critical thinking, credit awareness, and resume and personal brand building. Davis Malm team members included Keith Buohl, Executive Director, and attorneys Paul L. Feldman, Thomas S. Fitzpatrick, Evgenia I. Goryshina, Daniel T. Janis, John T. Lynch, Christopher J. Marino, Sam A. Mawn-Mahlau, Michael V. Serra, Howard P. Speicher, and Donna M. White.

About Junior Achievement
The mission of Junior Achievement is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Using hands-on experiences, Junior Achievement helps to prepare young people for the real world by teaching skills in financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship. Junior Achievement trains community volunteers to deliver curricula, and to incorporate the sharing of personal and professional experiences with students. The hallmark of Junior Achievement efforts, these mentors inspire students by transforming the Junior Achievement lessons into relevant messages that connect what is learned in the classroom to real-world situations.
