Women's Bar Association and American Bar Association Women Rainmakers Host Networking Event at Davis Malm

On September 13, the Women's Bar Association Business Development Committee and the American Bar Association Women Rainmakers Committee hosted a Networking Event at Davis, Malm & D’Agostine. P.C. Davis Malm shareholders Tamsin R. Kaplan and Donna M. White were instrumental in bringing the two organizations together for the event, which was attended by approximately 60 women in the Massachusetts legal community. Attendees included Andrea Kramer, President of the Women’s Bar Association, and Susan Letterman White, Chair of the American Bar Association Women Rainmakers Committee. Each spoke about their respective organizations and the importance of events such as this in order to build strong communities of women to provide support and help to foster professional relationships.

The goal of the Women’s Bar Association is to achieve equal participation of women in every aspect of society and believes a strong community of woman lawyers is essential to the administration of justice. By providing resources and connections, the organization seeks to support personal and professional growth and works to strengthen and further develop women’s professional expertise and skills. The mission of the American Bar Association Women Rainmakers Committee is to educate professional women on business and marketing strategies and to provide mentoring and networking opportunities to build personal and professional relationships. Tamsin Kaplan practices in the Business Law, Employment and Litigation areas. She also provides alternative dispute resolution services to the parties involved in business and employment disputes and other civil litigation matters. Ms. Kaplan is a board member of the Women’s Bar Association.

Donna White practices in the Trusts and Estates and Business Law areas. She concentrates her practice in all area of estate and trust administration and estate, gift, and generation-skipping, transfer tax planning. Ms. White is a member of the American Bar Association, Women Rainmakers Committee.
