Robert J. Munnelly, Jr. Presents at the FCBA New England Chapter's Seminar on Business Data Services and Broadband Deployment

On October 13, Davis Malm shareholder Robert J. Munnelly, Jr., spoke at the Federal Communications Bar Association’s (FCBA) New England Chapter event, “Current Issues in Business Data Services and Broadband Deployment,” at Boston University’s College of Communication. Mr. Munnelly, Chapter Co-Chair, presented an overview of the program and introduced Thomas Fiedler, Dean of the Boston University College of Communication.

The FCBA is an organization of attorneys and other professionals, including engineers, consultants, economists, and government officials involved in the development, interpretation and practice of communications law and policy. This year’s New England Chapter seminar focused on two issues of critical importance to modern telecommunications markets: proposals to modify the current approach to Business Data Services over the last decade, and developments in ensuring continued expansion in access to and use of broadband services. This seminar is the latest in a series of annual telecommunications-focused events held in partnership with the Boston University College of Communication. 

Mr. Munnelly practices in the Regulatory area. He has extensive experience with legal, regulatory, and local taxation issues faced by cable television and telecommunications companies in New England and nationally, as well as in other regulated industries. Mr. Munnelly’s practice in communications areas includes representing companies in all six New England states in obtaining utility commission and local licenses; ensuring ongoing compliance with applicable state, local, and federal laws; advocating for changes in existing regulatory requirements and market design; obtaining approvals or disclosing corporate change transactions and transfers; and assisting with issues raised by permitting and installation of communications facilities.
