Samuel B. Moskowitz Receives 2006 Adams Pro Bono Publico Award

Davis Malm attorney Samuel B. Moskowitz was awarded a 2006 Adams Pro Bono Publico award on June 6, 2006. The award, which was presented by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court at a ceremony in the John Adams Courthouse, is given annually to individuals and institutions within the legal community who have made a significant contribution toward the delivery of volunteer legal services to the poor and disadvantaged.

Mr. Moskowitz was recognized for his work in helping to create and operate the Boston Bar Association's "Lawyer for the Day" program at the Boston Housing Court. Sandy, as he is known, has co-chaired the BBA Real Estate Pro Bono Committee, which operates the program, since its inception in 1998. He also serves on an advisory group to the Supreme Judicial Court's Steering Committee on Self-Represented Litigants and on the BBA's Public Service Committee.

Mr. Moskowitz practices in the Land Use and Real Estate Group, the Litigation Group and the Business Group at Davis Malm. He has extensive experience in a broad range of real estate matters, including condominium law, the resolution of title issues, real estate leasing, development and conveyancing, and mortgage lending. Mr. Moskowitz's expertise also encompasses real estate and business litigation, as well as the representation of closely held businesses.
