On October 10, 2006, Davis Malm attorney Samuel B. Moskowitz participated in "Public Interest in the Private Sector: A Pro Bono Panel," a panel discussion for current Boston University Law School students sponsored by the BU Law Career Development Office. In addition to Mr. Moskowitz (BU Law class of 1980), the panel consisted of other BU Law alumni and was moderated by Professor Tracey Maclin from the law school. The panelist discussed their commitment to pro bono activities and the integral part these endeavors play in their overall practices. Mr. Moskowitz practices in the Land Use and Real Estate Group, the Litigation Group and the Business Group at Davis Malm. He has extensive experience in a broad range of real estate matters, including condominium law, the resolution of title issues, real estate leasing, development and conveyancing, and mortgage lending. Mr. Moskowitz's expertise also encompasses real estate and business litigation, as well as the representation of closely held businesses. For his extensive pro bono work, this year, Mr. Moskowitz was awarded the Adams Pro Bono Publico Award by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, and in 2002, the Dennis Maguire Pro Bono Award.
